Anthropic's Fable 5 Export Control Suspension and Reinstatement Exposes Three Structural Gaps in Enterprise AI Vendor Risk Programs

Anthropic suspended global access to its Claude Fable 5 and Mythos 5 models on June 12, 2026, after the US government applied immediate export controls following a reported jailbreak that enabled cybersecurity vulnerability exploitation.
